Take a Nap
Love between a man and a woman is a gift. Just like Adam woke from a deep sleep to be gifted with Eve. Genesis 2:18 then the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make a helper fit for him.” That said focus on the word “fit”. Not every potential candidate is a “fit”. If you’re a size 6 4 and 8 are not going to work no matter how much you diet or belt it. If God does not will it all the self-will, checklists, relationship books, and formulas will end in disappointment. Leaving that deep sense of what’s wrong with me? My dream man arrived later in life long after I had given up on my own efforts. When trust stepped in and I accepted my singleness, God surprised me with an amazing human being that was nothing like my ideal but more than I would have ever expected for in my own strength. Not one thing about the being or building of this relationship was my efforts. God gave me something more wonderful than I could have ever imagined for myself and orchestrated every twist and turn. Now, I tell friends trust God and tap a nap. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
