Silent Night
During the blissful chaos of the Christmas season I am reminded of the gift of a silent night. What does that look like? Time spent in the dim light of our Christmas tree. The fire flickers, the pets are lounging in the warmth, and I look at the gifts from loved ones twinkling under ornaments that reflect the memories of a family. It is a silent night. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!” This is my gift. The gift of peace. I thank you God for the gift of your beloved Son. A son that came and lived thru the joys/pain of a broken world. He came to understand our fractured human hearts. As we walk our path, the joy/pain, let us remember our savior that tiny baby born on a silent night that none shall be lost from the unconditional grace of God.
